That's pretty scary. I run my bike in the 20's often, but fortunately have not seen that tire condition on either the Dunlaps or the Continentals I run.
That's crazy, I've been riding bt020r's through this winter with no problems and plenty of below freezing riding. It sucks they wouldn't just sack up and replace the tire, seems like the smart way to do business
My Hoosiers are clearly labeled "Do not freeze" and clearly state that they should not be operated below 32F but they are racing slicks. Those are road tires that state no such warnings.
I'd read that warranty over pretty closely and if it didn't say anything about what temps were acceptable... I might go so small claims just to be an shiny happy person. I'd send the rep the link to the 200 forums I posted it on too and ask if the $90 tire was worth it.

Get the government on their case, if noone tells them they never know about this kind of stuff.
I'm a fair weather rider , so I don't have to worry about that! My bike hates temps below 50, and so do I.
