The bike only has 15,000 miles on it, I've had 40 year old Jap bikes with OE cables.
I thought about replacing it myself, but removing all that Tupperware was intimidating so I called a Stealership. They need to know the VIN, evidently there is a new design, but they need the VIN to ensure the correct replacement is installed.
$668.00 !!
I don't remember why I dislike dealers, but it's coming back to me ......
WTF!
Motion pro or other cable vendors will make you a few for that price.
Is that just the cable, or the whole job?
That's when you flat out ask if they would pay that extreme price.
I'm guessing the cable is $125 and the rest labor?
Dealership REFUSED to work on my 1975 750 F. Said it was to old? Fortunately I have an independent shop down the road . Chester hooked me up, now I get to scare myself again

Probably.....I replaced the throttle and clutch cables on my '04 10r last year and don't really want to ever do them again. Tight spaces, tricky panels, etc.
