What is the absolute cheapest way to assemble one of these little monsters? Just trolling craigslist until I find something? I've wanted one for a while and think it would make a good summer project.
Craigslist basket case, or ask around. A lot of people think they want something like that, start to put it together, and lose track- they might not be listed for sale, but "hey, do you know anybody with a minibike laying around?" is quick and easy to say.
Buy a non-running dirt bug, a HF Honda clone, and clutch to fit. Drill some holes, have fun.
