Does anyone have a good alternative to Craigslist (or E-bay) for finding project bikes. I am looking for a new project and the pikcings are slim for 1970s Japanese bikes here in NE PA. Most projects I find have no title and I won't buy a bike without one (all pA vehicles have titles, regardless of year).
kijiji / ebayclassifieds / advrider fleamarket (cool stuff pops up here)
Some cool stuff, few projects with titles.
can always wash through GA or FL? to resolve the title issue
start with something like this http://www.titlerecovery.com/
This is very timely because I am hvaing an issue with a 1975 Suzuki GT380 I bought in Connecticut from a collector. There are no titles in Connecticut for vehices 1981 and older. The collector never registered the bike in his name. All transactions in CT. are handled with a notarized bill of sale (which I have). Pennsylvania refuses to accept that.
That's because PA is stupid. (I live there. I mean here. I mean in PA)
In reply to pinchvalve:
PA wants at least an old signed regsistration. The old owner is nowhere to be found. The bike was off the road for many, many years. I hate PA.
In reply to Moparman:
Vermont just wants $$$. They will register it....don't even have to be a resident.
freecycleshopper has plenty of projects.
In reply to Otto Maddox:
That looks like a canoe but it isn't.
Ordered a title for the Suzuki GT380. Wish me luck.
How did you do that?
I have a cb360 with no title and the lady at the BMV insinuated that I was a theif if I had a vehicle without a title in my name.
I think free ads in usa its a nice alternative
