It might be. Keeping the weight low and between the riders legs will be helpful.
HD sportsters feel heavy because that huge lump of a motor is way out in front of your center of gravity at a stop.
Buell's don't feel heavy because you're sitting just above the motor. The weight is between your knees at a stop.

And to think, most people steered away from the '04-5 Muzzys turbo zx10's.....you could get a 500hp version for around $35k. I believe only 3 were sold.....I was out riding with one of them last friday.
he applied for a patent. He did not receive one, and probably won't. There is nothing revolutionary about this. It is a 2 wheel Volt, except it "may" have the ability to run on the gas engine.
I could make the same application except make it a 400 hp motor. doesn't mean it will ever be built, and if it did, it wont guarantee it would sell.

Buells dont feel heavy, because they are not heavy. My XB12 is 400#.
The Mission-R electric bike weighs 540 pounds, but runs lap times with the best 600s; the key is the weight is all packaged at the cg (so as mentioned above, it does not "ride" heavy), and of course the torque everywhere.
"The Mission-R electric bike weighs 540 pounds, but runs lap times with the best 600s"
it runs limited lap times the same as a 600. they run electric bike races that are about 1/4 the length of a AMA 600cc race.
If they had to go that far, they wouldn't have the juice to maintain the pace.
even when batteries are made that will allow them to keep that pace, the tires and brakes will not last as long on a bike that is 150lbs heavier over the course of a race distance.
And although the pace of 1:31 at Laguna is impressive, it is an unlimited class of electric bike.
MotoGP is 1:20.5 AMA Suberbike is 1:24

"To put that pace into perspective, Rapp would have been fifth on the grid had he been lapping in AMA Supersport’s Free Practice (which occurred early in the day, and thus on a cold track), and thirteenth in AMA Supersport’s Qualifying Practice 1 (which was later in the day, and in similar conditions as the e-Power/TTXGP session). Boom goes the dynamite." Link
I agree about the tires and brakes...

I'm old school chief! I rode tube frame Buells! Those new fangled XB's were weird.
Actually, I'm jealous. I couldn't afford an XB when they came out. I would've loved to have had a Ulysses.
On topic - 400 hp is nuts. The torque will be instant on as well due to it being electric.
