Anybody here have experience with the Evo powered road-kings. Say 96' or early with ~50K miles. Semi reliable, any way to tighten up the rear end.
I am looking to get back on the horse so to speak and all the emotional/physical wounds seems to be healed over at this point. Not really digging the twin cam bikes as much and a 50K mile road king from that era is a cash buy and I can find them with rash already which I certain to do with my weak ankles.
Alloy Art? has a kit for the rear swing arm, I believe. That takes care of the rear end wiggle.

Some people like a bit more rear end wiggle than others. wink wink, nudge nudge, say no more.
Here's what I was thinking. True-Track

I read evo powered road king and thought "someone stuffed a 4g63t into a Harley? That sounds scary. I'd like to see it." I'm sadly let down.
In reply to mndsm:
I had the exact same thought.
In reply to mndsm & EvanB:
Even though I know Harleys, for a brief moment, I had the same thought.
Not knowing much, I realize my first thought was a Evo powered Boss Hoss thing.

So we all came in here expecting a turbo 4 banger bagger. I love this place.

And no information was passed on. I was really looking for info on a boosted 4cy roadking.
So I am riding one at the local dealer tonight and a twin cam. We will see how it goes. Not sure I really have the mental part ready yet to get back on a bike but I miss the freedom and the comradely of having one and it really clear my head.
Be careful. Test riding a Road King caused me to spend all kinds of silly money. You might want to reconsider.

Yup. Having to replace your entire wardrobe with Harley T-shirts, bandannas and leather chaps will cost a mint.

Well I can put a end to this, the powers above seem to want to keep me off a bike. First time on the road in years and was almost creamed leaving the dealership. Love the bike, cannot do it in California. Will save me a fortune in Bandana's.
Why when I read the title did I expect to see a bike powered by a 4G63?
