I haven't posted many of my recent bike projects on this forum for a while, so here are a couple of my latest. In no particular order:

1963 Bridgestone BS-7/D Racer

1970 Kawasaki G3TR Brat Build

Avert your eyes if you don't want to see painted boobies. MODS: please delete if it offends:

Quickie build of a 1963 Honda C100 into a Vintage Trials bike I compete with:

Next project will be a 1961 Miyata Miyapeto

Very neat! I like the kawasaki best (but they're all cool).

I'm freaking jealous, of all of them, the Brat in particular. Good work out of you!

I don't think the painted boobies will be found offensive, there were still some up in the Quonset thread last I checked. Besides, who doesn't like chestsicles?

That kwaki is brilliant.

How did you transfer the image? It doesn't look airbrushed to me. Acrylic paint?

One-Shot sign painters paint. The design and work was done by my pops, with the simple instructions to have tits and a dragon.

Isn't that stuff the go-to for pinstripers?

Nice bikes. Thanks for sharing them.

In reply to Taiden:

That's always been my understanding.

Yep. My pops is an old sign painter, so he has a vast collection of one-shot cans. I've only taken up striping fairly recently, and one-shot makes it easy. As do some nice brushes.

Are the paints particularly harsh in any way? I love pinstriping and always wanted to try it.

I am awfully partial to the Bridgestone.

Very nice stuff man. I wish I was small enough to play around with little bikes. As it is, I'd look like a circus bear on a tricycle on that stuff.

This. I've become very interested in the last year after seeing a bit of Stan Silva's(local-ish Mainer, look him up on youtube sometime, vids hosted by rpeek) work.

I can't see myself ever being able to attain any real skill with pinstriping, sadly. To say I don't have a surgeon's touch is an understatement, I'm fairly certain Michael J. Fox could force a more steady hand. Incredible skill though, much respect for anyone who can freehand so cleanly.

There was a local guy who did freehand striping. The first time I saw him work, I held my breath; I was afraid to say anything. Then he cracked a dirty joke while walking down the side of the car. subrew, your dad did a great job on the boobies!

Last summer I hauled my trash to the collection site and there was some sort of European 50cc Moped sitting there on it's stand. I drove the car up to it because the dump operator was talking to another guy about it. Turned out, he had already sold it to someone and he had gone to get his truck to take it home. It was rusty and the engine was stuck but complete except for the carbuetor. It wasn't rusted out and I was seeing a "rat moped with a Chinese 80cc, and all the performance parts they offer probably in black anodized with some good shocks tires and brakes. Maybe some steel wool, mat clear and some pinstripes to finish it off. I had an appointment or I would have waited for the buy er to come back. He paid $50 for it.

I found a picture of it in a museum somewhere and thought I had saved it but can't find it to show you.

Oh well, bad timeing.
