This is a quickie I threw on my steel snow tire rims but I likie.

The paint is Dulpi-Color HWP 102 Graphite Metallic wheel paint; resistant to brake dust, grease etc. Two thin coats ten minutes apart and then within one hour a spray of HWP 103 Clear Coat.

It's a medium gray but under direct sun light you see the flakes and it gets lighter. I hope to put this on my 1976 BMW, almost period correct, add some M colour pinstripes and it's a new bike.

I'm going to test a panel with this on it for gasoline resistance.

I think with time and care it could be a nice paint job.

It should be a good color. Looks pretty close to the smoke grey they used back then.

late 90 BMW bike had "Anthracite" as a color even had factory matched Bell helmets.
I sold a crap load of the helmets back then very popular color

The guy I bought this from has a Pebble Beach ready R-90s, perfect! It's so nice he won't ride it.

I think my interpretation will be just fine......
