Doing the Lake Michigan 1000, with a couple friends. Starting in Racine, WI, going up and over, through the eastern part of Michigan, then down around Chi-town.
I've done it before, just didn't send in the documentation, for the award from the IBA.

Very good! I'm planning on doing an SS1000 this summer as well. Like you, I've done other rides previously that were long enough, just never documented them or sent them in.
Be sure to post and brag when you finish the ride, and when you get the licence plate frame.
We were successful! Took a three hour nap, at 1am, and still made it with 45 minutes to spare.
L to R: Me, Steven, Rich
We watched a van nonchalantly make a right turn, off the freeway shoulder, into the ditch. I got dusted with a semi's tire blowout. Rich made a seagull fly into me. Rich's shift lever came loose, in 5th gear. Steven got cold. Good times were had by all.

Once you realize 1000 miles is such a big deal. What about doing a long distance rally like a 8 hr or so on?
