First time in 7 years that I've been on anything made by them, and I must admit,I expected more from them.

The bike in question you might ask, a '13 GSXR600 with 2200mi on the clock.

Pros: Its SHOWA suspension was silky smooth, it was relatively comfortable with a nice seat height and riding position, and the mirrors were great for rearward visibility. It also won the sportbike downhill derby on the soapbox hill

Cons: It is a 6-8" longer than my zx10, the foot pegs kept stabbing me in the shin, horrible brakes(wtf, it had brembos), the factory steering damper doesn't do what its supposed to, and it made noise yet didn't go anywhere.....oh, did I mention it kept stabbing me in the shin?

Conclusion: Skip the Suzuki and go straight to the R6 or 636. You'll thank me later on

How do foot pegs stab your shins, are you duck walking all over?

I like how the bike (don't know which one is the Gixxer in the picture) isn't really broken in yet but it's got an aftermarket exhaust, de-fendered rear, etc. Why not figure out what the bike is like before mucking with it?

In reply to pres589:

The foot pegs are more forward and haven't been ground down to 1.5-2" long(First thing I do if they aren't already)

I'll bet the guy who traded the gixxer in knew what he had, and I'll admit, that scorpion slip on had a really nice growl at 4-6k. You can't tell, but it has a dealer plate on it.

OK, but how does that cause them to stab into your shins? Are you dragging your feet behind them or something?

In reply to foxtrapper:

They are somewhat pointed and upward angled......happened everytime I mounted/dismounted.

Also add the most vague throttle feel in the world to the list.
