Long story short, Found a guy selling a K4 Gixxer 1k for 2200 bucks, looks veddy nice. Price is obviously super good. I was looking over the bike and looked at both sides of the steering head on the frame and see no VIN at all. Looks like maybe a sticker may have lived there at one point..... Sooooo Is there a VIN on the engine or swing arm? or do I need to RUN AWAY?
Ask him if he can point it out. If its not there, ask if he can take care of the problem before the sale. There is no reason he shouldn't be willing to work. If the inspection is anything like MO, that is all the inspector will really check.
Update: Found the VIN, Police checked it... clean. Just took it for a spin, Needs mucho work. Brakes are crap, stearing head bearings are E36 M3, chain and sprocks are E36 M3, rear shock is trash. The thing rides all kinds of wonky, But its 2 grand and has 53k on the ticker. motor is solid and pulls nice and hard.
With all that going on, I wouldn't be surprised if the frame is cracked.

So you're probably looking at a grand in decent parts to fix it up. I wouldn't be surprised if you can get a better one for 3k.
It has been purchased, I havent had any luck finding one in decent shape for under 5k. So I bought the cheapest one that was rideable knowing I had a lot of maintenance items lol
In my neck of the woods, there are always some on the spamlist site(without titles)for cheap money. Most are crashed, but still have many good parts cheap.
This thing is titled and as far as engine trans it runs great
My point was for a couple of hundred, you can get all the parts you would need to fix whatever issues your titled one has.
