Anyone have any experience with these? There's one on the local CL for what looks like a decent price. It is the FT500, so it's a 500cc single, and it's an '82. If I bought it, it would be used for around-town commuting and general puttering on nice days.
Fun little thumper. when stripped down they make one hell of a flat tracker. 
They also made a VT500 Ascot, which looked similar but was a V twin.
Idunno, but if it's anything like the Yamaha TT500 I had, I might be congratulating you on your purchase and consoling your loved ones all within a short period of time!

Yeah, I like the flat tracker look...rectangular headlight has to go, though.
