When the hell did this come out? I feel like there should be some post apocalyptic Tokyo to drive through.

Interesting. Kinda like a cross between cruiser, tourer and sport bike. Like the concept. Especially since I'm more of a cruiser type. Looks could be improved some though.

I think it looks pretty awesome.
Nick - this was styled for people who don't necessarily ride now and definitely don't like the looks of the current cruiser crop.
Interesting! They crossed the old Pacific Coast with a maxi-scooter.
Overall, I like the idea. Wonder how it will sell.
I imagine Dwight will be all over it at the show.

Honda builds only niche bikes now, it seems most of their niches don't exist though.....as most ctx and other strange honda's are still sitting on dealer showrooms. They must be attempting to race Suzuki to bankruptcy....

I don't see how this is costing Honda a ton. If it draws people in and they buy something else, great. It uses a drivetrain that is used in two other bikes and the only REALLY special things about it are the looks and the seating position.
I think everything in their lineup is fugly outside of the super sports. I love VFR's but the new one makes baby Jesus puke.
I kind of like it, but probably not enough to pay for the difference between it and a CTX.
As for other items in their lineup, I was under the impression the 500cc bikes are actually selling well, and the CBR250 had been selling great (no idea if the 300 is or not).
In reply to eastsidemav:
This is where I'm at. I like it but the other 700s make more sense. From what I have gathered, the smaller bikes are doing great.
Yamaha - do you have data saying otherwise or is this strictly your opinion saying the won't sell? I doubt you fall into the usual demographics.

I don't, just going off what all the local dealers are stuck with and can't seem to give away.
I offered $2k for a left over '13 cbr250r repsol the other day.....and damn near left the dealer with it.
Oh, also the Honda regional rep has been fuming over the last year about the FZ-07 and FZ-09(and probably now about their dual sportish thing)......the FZ's are much better bikes than the comparable hondas.

No shart? I'd grab a 250 for $2k to flog mercilessly.
Damn, me too! That would turn into a tiny thumper commuter for me. I checked to see what I could find info wise and nothing seems out for 2014 yet. 2013 seems a bit of a let down for Honda (.7% drop over 2012). I don't want to see them drop out, but I am not likely to buy a new bike either.
Also, the FZ stuff is pretty baller. I just think that the Honda 500s and 700s are targeting a different crowd. Less speed oriented.
In reply to clutchsmoke:
If I had more time available that day, I probably would have taken it home.....the dealership's owner was oh so tempted by my offer.
In reply to singleslammer:
I don't think Honda will fail so long as they have the goldwing. I have no idea what is propping up Suzuki at this point though, perhaps they cut their entire engineering and design divisions.....

Bro! C'mon they're high tops! Mostly. Gotta give the tops of the toes a rest sometimes
If I didn't pick up a nice cheap SV1000 I would come visit Indiana and bring back a 250

Local Honda dealer has one in the inventory, I may stroll down there and check it out.
