Local guy selling it for a while, started at $1,000; today only $500.
Now we're talking !
Nice. find a uncut stock seat and keep an eye out for a MAC or Kerker pipe. A set of progressive brand fork springs and a decent set of rear shocks and it will be a rocket ship around town and not bad on the longer hauls. I miss my 650 and my 750ltd
That's an awesome deal if it runs and is as decent shape as it looks in the picture. Whats the plans for it?
I've always disliked Kawaski.......except........you guessed it KZ650s. I second the get a decent pipe, fork springs and shocks. I'd also upgrade the front brake and add some rear sets with a set of superbike bars. It'll make a nice classic.
Tom
It starts and runs, has K&N air filters and some kind of home grown looking muffler on a header. Something is amiss with the electrical, lights go on and off at will.
I also noticed three missing spokes on the rear wheel, randomly located. If I could even find replacement spokes, do I have to unlace the wheel to install them? Is it horrible to run with three missing?
Dirty connectors and or switches are the most likely electrical gremlins causing the lights to come on and off.
Spokes, I'll admit to riding with broken spokes and not having the world end. So if it were me, I'd just ride with them missing, while considering replacing them for a winter project. As for lacing them in there, some are easy some are very much not. Just depends on which spokes.
That muffler looks like its an old Kerker, which would match the header.
