And the rotors are a little loose on their carriers I would recommend getting another set and installing them on the next tire change. Mine started making noise about 100K ago so I knew they would be due soon. This weekend I went to ghange the front tire and when I removed the caliper the one side fell off, the other side just required a little jiggle to remove. I guess I was lucky this time.
200K miles on a bike!!
That's impressive.
Just thinking about it makes my butt hurt.

lol, Sitting in traffic make my head hurt!
Reminds me of an old FSAE car in my engineering shop. It was R6 powered and a hoot. And the rear disk had sheared half of its brake rivets/buttons. Whoops.
That’s a lot of miles.

This is the 6th bike over 100K, 4th over 150k, 3rd over 200k since 1994.
Mine barley made it over 10K before self destructing
In reply to MulletTruck :
Very nice! I have only had my TLR over 100K. It was at 117K when I sold it.
You should have stuck with the Sportster, Nick.
In reply to Dr. Hess :
Have you been talking to my wife?
In reply to Nick Comstock :
Great minds think alike?

99 Suzuki Bandit 1200
You used to work at a Suzuki dealership, right? I've got a chance to pick up a 2003 Bandit 600 for pretty cheap. Are the engines between the 1200 and 600 similar-ish? It seems to be a pretty basic, simple engine, which is great for me. The one I'm looking at only has 35k miles, but it's got a couple issues I think I could solve in an afternoon for less than $100. If the engines share some/most of their design, I'm gonna feel much better about diving into this project after hearing you are at 200k.

I have so many questions about how you have done that. Like how many pieces of your spine you have replaced and if you have had a CAT scan recently. That is CRAZY.,

Very much the same. All the oil cooled 600,750,1100 and 1200 are all based off thr same deal, they have little differences over the years but they will all swap most of their parts. Even the new 1250 will bolt into our bikes.
