Kind along the lines of the thread below about a GRM-like bike magazine... Is there a website or forum around for custom/scratch-built bikes that ARE NOT choppers or HD-related? I'm not really in to the whole bike scene but it seems to me that in the bike world, motor swaps and mixing up of componentry between brands and models is not so common as in the car hobby. Am I off base here? If not, why is that so? If it's not so, prove it with links!

Thank-ye Kindly

I personally like dotheton.com as well, some of their Bikes of the Month are pieces of art.

The www.ratbike.org forum has got an old-school, clunky interface, but if you want to talk with knowledgeable people doing strange things with motorcycles; swaps, hacks, diesel conversions, etc, then this is a good place to look:

These blogs do features on custom bikes with short write-ups on their construction and whatnot:

The following are just some blogs with "hey thats a neat bike" photos. Some have links for more info, while others are just the photo and no info. Also note that some of these sites are known to post tasteful pictures of topless ladies:

Look down the right side of any of the above blogs to find a long list of other, similar blogs. You should find plenty of interesting stuff to waste your time reading

You can look for custom yamaha XS650 sites. Those can go anywhere from bobbers and choppers to cafe racers and more.

I also like Classified Moto, although they are less all-out custom and more modernizing/cafe-ing old bikes.
