Isle of Man on Velocity

There's a show on the Velocity channel tonight (5/31/14, 9pm central) covering the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy races.

This is my favorite event in motorsport. I will attend it one of these years.

Looked to be a great show. I only caught the first 15 minutes before I had to go to work last night.

Hope to catch a re-run in the future.

It's on all week according to my DirecTV guide at 10pm.

I leave at 10:15 pm for my night shift.

... but just found it's on again at 9 am

I hope Guy Martin can take it out this year..... It's been a long time coming.

The hairs on the back of my neck stand up watching those guys ride out tank slappers between stone walls while blasting down those narrow cart paths...I mean roads.

It's not been a good year for the TT this year. Seems they had a fair number of accidents including at least one fatality. One of my InterFriends managed to crash and break his bike in half (he's OK-ish, spent a day or two at the hospital and was last seen at the pub).

OTOH two friends of mine are marshalling this year (working corners), so that's pretty cool.

2 or 3 fatalities this yr.
