I ran into this in my little town last night.....and as I love old stuff, ended up chatting with the owner for a good long while.

Anyways, heres the game, it is obviously a Harley, but what year, model, and bonus points for engine size/type and other unique tidbits.

'30's flathead, probably 80 cubic inches, might be 74 cubic inches.

I was going to guess 1942 flathead. It could be a WLA with a ton of fancy upgrades.

I don't think it's a 45. Wrong transmission and engine side cover.

Warm on the year, and yes on the 80 cubic inches.....

I'll spill the beans since 2 answers have been correct thus far, its a 1939 FLH(iirc, harley letters are confusing) but its a 80cid flathead, hand shift/foot clutch, former state police patrol bike with dual tanks and a bunch of other oddities. Pretty cool, and much less generic than new harleys.
