Well after months and months of searching (and soul-searching) I've finally found a motorbike that seems reasonably priced and worth looking at.

I think a 70 will be enough, and actual gears will make it faster enough than a 50cc auto-scooter. Any tips on what to look for?
I just sold one last year and that's a bargain price. They are dirt simple and almost everything is available for them. You can make that starter work again, but they kick over really easy. Clean all the electrical connections and grounds. Handling is a little funky because of the front suspension but they are a lot of fun.
I want a moped so bad! I'd make mine look like a cafe racer though. That thing is sweet, you should definitely get it!

Well, I bought it for $700. The mechanicals are solid, the electrics need everything, and the cosmetics are rough. Look for a build thread soon.
Sweet! Looking forward to it! I want a 50cc so I can ride it 2 miles to work with no motorcycle license or insurance needed, and only a $20/yr registration fee.
