Looks like there will be a 2014 edition. I'm thinking of trying it again. Anyone interested in joining me and making it a group ride?
I'm thinking along the lines of leisurely. Taking my/our time, enjoying ourselves, and not attempting the overly difficult portions. Ride, eat (there is a breakfast and lunch), somewhat earn the t-shirt.
In all sincerity, I'd rather ride it with at least one other person. Last year I rode alone.
I can say from last year I was surprised that the map they mailed me before the ride was much more a rally race set of turn instructions that should be placed on a rally roller. The trail(s) weren't very well marked. I'm pretty sure it was much more technical than I expected.
So I'm thinking this year of trying it much more gently. Start later, ride slower, wimp out onto the dirt roads for the hard parts.
Basically, more Vstrom appropriate riding.

Is this the one where they open the ATV trails to motorcycles, or is this some different thing where you just ride the normal roads? Not interested in taking my shiny blue pig on the ATV trails. The other roads aren't all that challenging, so they should be fine for you. 
Looks cool, but Penn is a little far for me to go.

Spring ADV ride is April 12. You could probably ride your Hawg on it and impress all the BMW and KTM guys. It's listed under the Northeast category at ADV.
Hmm. Hadn't seen that one. Same data as Cabin Fever Expo (which is a great thing to go to in York at the fair grounds).

Went to Cabin Fever last year, about lost my mind. It was all I could do not to shop for a Shopsmith afterward.
I do the Spring Ride (have the last two times) if the weather isn't wet. It's usually pretty decent. They typically have one water crossing which is pretty entertaining. Most of the roads are Michaux quality or paved. It's not a short ride; usually will take most of the day but you can always bow out early.
