There is also a reason why certain motorcycles are nearly universally recommended, while some are always panned. Stay away from the Buells. Buell did as good a job as he could with the constraints Harley put on him, but his bikes were certainly not on par with the stuff from Japan and Europe.

Agreed.
The Er6n will be a trusty beginner steed. It's probably better for a beginner than the SV650.

Somewhere in the $700 range for the full titanium Akra system for the er-6n. So its very cheap by Akra's standards.
