Do Moto Guzzis have external transmissions? Are they all aircooled V-Twins? How much should I pay for an engine?

Moto Guzzi's been making bikes in various configurations since the 1920's. Most of them have been air-cooled V-twins, AFAIK. What vintage are you talking about?

This may be what you're looking for: a Moto Guzzi engine mated to a VW transaxle, for use in a trike:

Yup I have seen that article. I am looking for something to power a Morgan 3-wheeler replica. I am just kinda looking for any info I can get.

Guzzis aren't known has high revving machines, they're more for low speed torque (which would seem more suitable for a trike than say, a four cylinder Japanese bike engine.)

I wonder if the Moto Guzzi drive train in entirety could be used in a 3 wheeler.

I have a free VW Bus transaxle I was going to use. But the final drive is 4.571 on the low in.

more than likely, if you didn't mind having to get out and push to back up. it wouldn't be that terribly hard to do, either, the biggest problem would be extending the existing driveshaft or swingarm, depending on which way you decided to go
