Not sure what years you will be working with but my brother use to interchange Yamaha and Suzuki parts for a while. The bikes were mid 70s to early 80s.

Unfortunately, there isn't a site to enter part numbers and check interchange options. Unless, you use sites like bikebandit for a base.

XS frames have been chopped, bobbed, cafe'd for years.

NW vintage site can show you what model use same parts but you have to enter in the part number to see where it was used. for example I know the 73 RD 350 takes same brake pads as xs 650 but to prove it I look up the bike via drop down menu. then find part number it shows discontinued but I clipboard the part number then go back to bike look up on the right side you search the part number it comes back not available and with any superseded part numbers! but on right side there small words "Where used" select model click that you get all the models that use that part. now you can search other site that don't list the part number http://www.nwvcp.com/pages/OemParts#/s/YAM//1A1-W0045-00-00_/1

Google itself works surprisingly well at this.

I have installed Honda Regultor/Rectifiers on numerous Suzukis. Basically, if its a brushless it will interchange with brushless, and brush type with brush type.

There is a big list of fork diameters on the line somewhere. So you can see what Ninja forks will fit in your Yamaha virago triple trees.

You'll need to log in to post.
