Went on a great ride today, 35 degrees when I left the house in the morning, 78 when I returned in the afternoon. Talk about shedding layers!

My Easter ride was foiled by an Easter Bloody Mary. Self-imposed eight hour bottle to throttle rules and all that. I did manage to get a hundred mile trip to the store for milk type ride in on Saturday though so... today I drank the drink, ate the ham... napped on the couch.

Tomorrow I spoon on a new front tire and make up for lost time. Monday is a company holiday for my current client. Whoohoo!

That's the typical spread in temps around here this time of year. Ceratinly not uncommon to have 30+ temp differences on the ride into work and the ride home. It's a good thing I added storage to my bike so I can haul all the layers home after work.

I have just enough room to get the liners from my jacket, heavy sweater, balaclava, and my cold weather gloves in one bag and my rain gear in the other. My lunch and warm weather gloves fit for the ride in.

I like that saying! I am the guy at bike night drinking water at the bar while his wife enjoys a beer. I just won't drink and ride, period.
