It might be a little late, I already ordered some 009 Raven shinkos. Am i going to regret it? Uses include 90% commuting on the super slab. Anyone use these things before? price was 169.00 to the door for the pair btw

I had some on my Guzzi. They seemed pretty good, handled decently. I only put a couple thousand miles on the tires before selling it so not sure how long they last.

I have a couple friends that run the 705(?) on their dirt bikes with great success. I imagine it is kind of Sumitomo in the car world that while it isn't the best tire, it is a great bank for your buck.

good deal, I am just sick of my pilot powers lasting 2k at most. 180 per tire has gotten old. thanks guys

In reply to Blitzed306:

I'm going with Dunlop sportmax Q3's from Shinko. The Shinko Advan on the rear of my bike lasted roughly 4k miles....it had horrible grip though(think wheelspin to wheelie transition in 2nd gear at about 100mph )

I put 7000 miles on my 009 Raven rear on my SV650 before I really considered it to need replacing. I'm running the 006 Podium front and rear currently and only have good things to say, especially given how inexpensive they are.

On my second set on the Eurotrash.

The bike drag racers here like Shinkos because they're sticky and cheap.

I like them because at $65.00 per tire, I just change them when I notice a difference in handling.

I'm not a fast enough rider to care if they don't go all the way to eleven.

Some guys have complained about balance issues. I've not had a problem yet but I use dynabeads in my tires.

I honestly havent heard anything bad about them from people who have used them, But the guy at the local Honda shop called them "rim protectors" and told me I would have to be a fool to put them on a new bike. needless to say... I won't be doing business with him

The "Stealth"(IIRC) is their drag oriented streetbike tire....basically a dimpled slick. The drag guys around me like those as well, and to be expected, they don't last long.

Oh and, "But these go to eleven"
