Errr...petcock being left open leads to clogged oil passages? What is the likeliness of enough gas penetrating the seal on an oil filter to destroy the element? Anybody have any input on the credibility of this guy's story?

The only way I know to get a dent like that on top of the tank is berkeleying up a Stoppie.
BS on the oil filter story, but extended wheelies will starve the top end of oil. He only wants $500, lowball him and walk away.
