I am 1/2 way through replacing the throttle cable (it was sticky) on my GS450 and ran into a problem. The factory cables plastic sheath is molded into the ON/OFF housing.. Anyone ever run into this? I don't really want to hack into the bike as it's pretty pristine
My guess is the replacement part superseded an earlier version that came with the bottom part of the throttle assembly. I just looked at the parts fiche at http://www.bikebandit.com/1981-suzuki-gs450sx/o/m6044 and the drawing of the cable there looks like your cable, but the drawing of the throttle assembly doesn't appear to have that elbow on it.
