So, the neighbors at our place of business says he has a 500cc Kawasaki Enduro Bike for sale for cheap. He said its a 4 stroke, needs a clutch, will sell it dirt cheap because he doesnt feel like doing a clutch. Im thinking about buying it and making it a cheap Super Moto bike to ride to work and home.
My question/s is/are... do i need a special fork/swing arm to fit street tires? Muy expensive?
No special fork/swing arm required to fit street tires (or wheels for that matter).
The cheapest thing to do would be to put some sportsman tires on the stock wheels.
For a "true" supermoto setup you're looking at custom spacers to fit 17" wheels on both ends as well as caliper brackets or lacing 17" hoops to the stock hubs.
Check out the street tarders section on supermotojunkie.com for more info on converting.
Also, I'm not aware of any 4 stroke 500cc Kawasaki enduros so you may have some mis-information or I could just be ignorant.
I went supermoto in 2006 and have not looked back. For how and where I ride it's perfect, and I really like weirdness so I've got KTMs.
Doo eet!!

ditto this--I'm not much of a dirt bike guy but I'm also unaware of a 500cc 4-stroke Kaw enduro.
yea, turns out its not an enduro bike, just a KLR 4 stroke... someone else just bought it too, now their problem
Oh well! It was fun bench racing in the meantime
