After what seemed like a million years, my 1985 Honda VFR Interceptor is back on the road! Rode with friends for about 100 miles on Saturday, and besides getting caught in a torrential downpour, all went perfectly! ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/laugh-18.png)
I almost forgot how much I love this bike!

Awesome, I've always loved the little VFR's!
Great to hear! (On both levels).

Love it, a friend in college had one we'd go out for a day and trade on the way home he loved my hopped up R5 and I his interceptor.

I went riding last weekend with a good friend (and super-avid bike guy) with me on the VFR and him on his heavily modded RC-51. Although his RC is an absolute monster, he really digs my little 500. Maybe it's because my bike isn't such a twitchy beast, but instead a really easy-friendly ride.
After the Yoshi pipes went on I thought my bike sounded pretty cool (it does)......until he started his RC-51 ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/googly-18.png)
What a sound that thing makes! I've never witnessed a bike that visceral. Even if he let me ride it, I don't think I would. His isn't really a street bike anymore, it's more like a GT-1 Racecar you drive on the street. and yes, he tracks it frequently.
oh, and thanks guys!

That's a VF500F (former Honda bike shop Service Manager.) Great bike I've got one in the project stack.
Ah, was the VFR the 700?
I always get the nomenclature messed up.
