Yeah, I read that yesterday. It's too bad. I really only follow supercross, and he was just in a different class than the "other" fast guys. Very mentally tough. But I get it. He's beat up, has tons of money, and wants to retire while his body still has some years in it for fun. I'm not a huge fan of his really, but it was fun watching him school the likes of Dungy, Reed, Barcia, Stewart etc.
I am a Reed fan, and by contrast it's been a bit painful watching him the last few years. He should have retired a while ago. There's no inherent badge of honor in being the old guy if you're no longer consistently competitive.
I think RV2 is doing it right.
