I have read a few times here people mentioning mileage on bikes. I know what the general public thinks, I worked in Dealerships for many years.
For me and all the bikes I have had over the past 30 years I would have to say anything under 40K miles is low and its just getting broke in.
Since 87 I have had 9 bikes go over 100K, 5 of those went over 175K with only one with a cam that lost its lobes at 145K, 3 that went over 200K (my current bike just went over 200K on Friday) and 1 that went 285K.
All of these bikes ran when I gave them away except the 1989 GSXR750/1200.
I usually only burn Arco gas, all my oil changes are with Shell Rotella Dino oil, valve adjustments happen when I have to raise the idle. I also run K&N filters dry.
