Over the weekend while I was doing some maintenance and swapping out winter treads for some much appreciated summer tires I found a nice trick completely by accident.  My magnetic hand held light rolled up against my floor jack  before slifing it under the car and happened to make finding the center jack point on my Mazda much easier than fumbling around under the car.  I left it attached while I moved around the car lifting it up from different points to get all four wheels and it was surprisingly nice.

Bonus tech tip - Hockey pucks with a groove cut into them make a great pinch weld saver.

This has been a favorite of mine for a while, got one stuck to the jack that goes on road trips.

Edit by Mazdeuce. This poster wanted you to use a canoe as a floor jack. That's not going to work.

Hey, we'd love to share this tip in the next issue of Grassroots Motorsport. Is there a chance you have higher resolution photos of the ones you posted here—preferably 1280x960 pixels or larger?

If you do, go ahead and send them to my email: colin@grassrootsmotorsports.com

Thanks!
