Here are some adventures we have amassed in the 79 Dodge Aspen Special Edition wagon that I have had since 2002. Originally a California car (Bay area), I am the 3rd owner and got it with 100,000 Miles on the clock. Its' all original, paint, interior etc.. ( a survivor as they say) 'cept I have put mustang Bullitt Wheels and 245-45-17 Tires on it.

There's nothing like taking a family vacation in one of the classics.. most of my classics are from the 70's as that's what I can afford.
here are some pics.
another bonus.. I can go to any local car show and have fun with a car in the show as well as admiring the local iron.

When in the motor City no Trip is complete without a few cruise nights along Historic M-1 aka Woodward Avenue.
I like to drive my old cars.

We took the Disco Wagon on a day trip to a Mopar car show 2.5 Hours away in Chardon Ohio.
We got parked next to fellow slant six racer and cool guy Dennis Morris. I recognized the car from Clay city and it Had the NITRO JOE JACKSON tech sticker still on the windshield.. I invited him to more slant races!
Fun Day!
Ava Drawing the car on her doodle pad.
Dennis' Sweet fresh from 'da Barn Convertible Slant 6 64 Valiant!

Took the family to the Monster Mopar event at Norwalk aka Summit Motorsports Park.
Really Nice Place - Similar to Bristol but with some grass and no mountains.
It's more of a drag race with a small show and swap meet on the Summit side of the track.
Some familiar slant folks were there from mid Ohio.
Disco Wagon was fun to drive with A/C temps reaching 20* ... and we had a hotel with a pool which the girls like.
We stopped by a local car show on the way to hotel Friday and then up to Norwalk on Saturday.. Found some more interesting backroads to avoid interstates and Toll Roads. nice cruising through flat straight Amish country.
Summit Motorsports park!
Some Friendly Mid Ohio F body fans invited me to park and hang out with them. Apparently the FJM crowd has a bit of a following on fecesbook.
On the way back to the hotel Needed to Pick up some content for the Grüne Hölle Project at Summit Racing, so decided to swing past another mid ohio speed landmark too..... Track was recently renovated and will have to get there sometime for an event!
Finally stopped at summit on the way back to hotel.
Great weekend, not too hot, lots of sun!

Easter Social Distance Trip
Well usually for Easter we have a large family gathering... cant do that this time, so went on a little trip to a park for an Easter picnic with the disco wagon.
It was pretty sunny when we got to the lake but it got a bit breezy on the mountain by the time our meal was done.

Made another Disco Wagon family trip.
We have had bizzarely nice weather for the last 10 days. Clear, no rain and a few days in the 72⁰-76⁰ temps.. in november.....in pennsylvania! Crazy nice.
So we went to Cooper's Rock state forest in WV for lunch, then to Deep Creek State Park in MD for dinner, picniced for both meals, and got dinner in before sundown.
Had a blast and took back roads home... no Interstates.
Playgrounds for the little ones make roadtrips a bit easier to behave on.

I love the travel pictures, but I don't think I've ever seen one of those. The proportions look off somehow.
Car looks pretty great on those wheels.

Well it is a 1976-1980 MoPar F body wagon.. not a volvo or Audi or BMW.
:-D
Greg
I think the proportions are pretty spot on myself.

I have a set for about 1/2 of my mopars now.. without changing springs, sway bars torsion bars or much else they are a big improvement. Usually they work with a 1" - 1 1/2" spacer to make up for the increased positive offset from stock.

The car looks great.
Love me some F/M/J.
Synthetic_Blinker_Fluid just brought this T&C wagon back from the Bay Area about a week ago.
I call it the LumBeron.
I hope it will help me get over the loss of my 318/833 Aspen wagon that I hauled home from Wyoming and promptly was stolen a couple weeks later.
The loss of the TurdHauler still hurts years later.
Lookin' good.
I cant believe anyone in their right mind would steal one of these. Things must be different out your way.
They musta been a crack head that needed their fix.
I have taillights for a lebaron wagon as well as an nos rear tailgate air deflector if you guys know anyone that needs 'em.
