Up early this morning to board a plane to Atlanta. Rough plan is to pick up a boxster s, drive to the tail of the dragon, then drive home.

More details as they emerge!

I hope you find some dry time on The Dragon, but it looks like the weather is giving you the finger

That is a weather finger if I've ever seen one. Luckily the dragon day is planned for tomorrow.

HA!

Unfortunately I don't think even a Porsche can help me there.

In other news, as an aero nerd, I did happen to notice this sweet naca duct on the side of a 737.

Used Boxster... if its been driven little in the last few years, check tires before the Tail. Good shoes make a big difference. (...obviously, but I've noticed a lot of low mile Boxsters with 10+ year old tires.)

Playing around with the maps while I patiently await my co-driver. I think this is the route we will target. Many of these roads have been recommended to me from various folks.

Hahahahaha he just landed and apparently his flight was a vomit comet. Lots of wind in ATL right now.

But he's safe on the ground.

I'll tell him.

I'm in the area should any needs arise on the first leg of the trip. Looking forward to the documentation.

Cool! I also flew into Atlanta today, but no Porsche, no tail, and no dragon. T'was a might rock n rolly on the descent, with what seemed like some extended maneuvering beforehand.

Been a while since I've been here and I forgot how impressive the thunderstorms can be.

Have a great adventure! Dodge the rain.

Had damn near tornado sideways rain around 5:30 at my place north of Atlanta this evening. Glad you and copilot landed safely.

Here's picking up the car last night. Got to hotel, and went to sleep.
