We're headed to a wedding in MT soon and we'll be staying in Columbia Falls, MT near Glacier National Park. I'm looking for a 7yr old kid friendly (and senior friendly) short hike or two in the area. I'm looking online and finding some but wondering if there is any first hand experience. Thank you!
I don't have any tips for Glacier National Park but when my wife and I go on trips I use Trail Forks to scope out what trails we want to hike or bike on.
We spent a week here - top 3 in my list of parks. Some say it's an unspoken park as Yellowstone gets all the glory. Just keep in mind there's a lot of driving so plan where you're going.
We went river rafting and it took a lot of time to get there, raft then back to the lodge. We took a bear training class one night in the lodge that got my wife a bit nervous!

Just a few shots from GNP. Going to the Sun Road was awesome. We did a couple of the easier trails and had a blast. Highly recommended! Thanks for the advice GRM!
Some great short hike suggestions for Glacier National Park that would work for your 7-year-old and seniors are Hidden Lake Trail and the Sun Point Nature Trail. Hidden Lake is very scenic and mostly flat, while Sun Point is a lovely paved loop. Both are under 2 miles so should be very doable. Since it will be summer, pack water and sunscreen for everyone.
