Large pylons...
You might have figured out by now that I am not "cannonballing" to to Florida. I am smelling some roses.
Got it on the mirrors blocking your vision - obviously I thought you were talking about blind spots IN the mirrors.
I was very aware of that in our fifth-gen Camaro, but even with the side mirrors adjusted correctly (contrary to what some might think, you do NOT need to see what's behind you in the side mirrors) I was very cautious about moving left without a quick glance out the driver's window to make sure nothing had snuck up on me. Then coming back from RRR the end of April I was passed by a Challenger with convex spots and thought, "why didn't *I* think of that?!?" Stopped by AZ on the way home and bought their last set (for $1 before my associate's discount). Makes it a LOT less stressful when driving "enthusiastically" in heavy traffic...

Sometimes you just want a hot meal... Electra Texas. 7:58pm.
I climb out of yet named car and go in. Waitress said they were closing...Jose looked at me and the car and said, "We can feed you something"
Out rapidly comes an great taco meal! Fantastic!
Back onto the road. All this stopping and smelling roses is getting me to the wrong side of Dallas.
A lot of really flat countryside in the rear view mirror the last 8 hours. And miles and miles of rails with mile long trains.
Congrats on the new car; and thanks for sharing the return trip! I'm envious! I'll look forward to future updates.
OK...that was a day. A bit over 800miles. Very pleased with the car!
Only about 750 to get home...
Canton Texas:
OBTW...love me some paddle shifters!
Really glad I got the auto...especially for this type of driving.
The lower the elevation the pepper it's getting. It had air supply issues above 7,000 ft.
I-20 in East Texas is a touring nightmare. Two lanes each direction, 70 limit. Road blocked for miles with 69mph semis passing 68mph semis.
The views wont change much from here, pine trees on each side of the highway.
But, alas, I'm out of Texas!!!!

That seems to be universal. They need to make a law that trucks can only pass if the truck in front is doing 10mph below the speed limit.

Last tank = 29.5 driving like an idiot.
That's pretty good. My base Cayman gets 25ish if I just cruise at 75-80mph.
