Road Atlanta

I'm going there for the first time for The Mitty. Any suggestions for the best places to take pictures? I'm using a real camera. Thanks.

Much matters if you can get photo credentials.

The "classic" shots:

Up at Turn 5 shooting down into the esses.

Outside Turn 1 shooting at apex or back down the front straight looking at approaching cars head on. Can get drivers eyes sometimes.

The cars are their slowest at the apex of Turn 7.

If you want to shoot down into cockpit  try inside of Turn 6.

Have some interesting shots by going downhill (towards S/F) from the Bridge and shooting through the bridge as a frame.

Ditto all of the above.  I've shot my personal favorite shots from at the bottom of turn 5 looking up the hill, or from spectator hill overlooking turn 5 and the esses.

We've had this poster in my dads garage then mine since the late 70's so I suggest you go to this spot.
