Better than: Volvo C30
But not as good as: Mazdaspeed 3
GRM Bang For The Buck Index: 87.22
We just had our hands on the slightly tweaked high-profile version of the C30, aptly dubbed version 2.0 in Volvo-speak. It's easy to see the changes between this version and the base model, since they conveniently painted the aero bits in a color that contrasts with the main body.
We really liked the more aggressive look of the 2.0, and a slightly bigger wheel-and-tire package promise improved handling thanks to a slightly larger footprint. However, we weren't impressed with the fact that the 2.0 uses the exact same mechanical hardware and power output as the base model. But if you're counting style points, version 2.0 might have just what it takes to get you into a C30.

I spent the weekend with this car and came to see the beauty. It's certainly quick enough, has great seats, and looks awesome. I could live with this one, which is saying a lot. I even liked the optional automatic gearbox, which I guess is really saying a lot. I'm not sure why I didn't connect with the other C30 we had, but this one captured my heart.
