Minivans are out, crossovers are in. Chevrolet's entry in this market is the Traverse, which was new for the 2009 model year and replaced both the Uplander minivan and Trailblazer SUV.
Crossover doesn't have to mean compromise, however. Our 2LT test vehicle sported three-row seating (seven passengers total) plus the 3.5-liter, twin-cam V6 that features direct injection. If this is the future of tall-in-the-saddle people-haulers, we can live with that.
