2017 Lexus RX 350 new car reviews

The Lexus RX has long been a mainstay in the small SUV ranks. This latest generation comes with a full makeover—many describe it as polarizing—and some niceties like a 12.3-inch wide console display that can provide everything from current traffic conditions to weather radar.

The RX 350 is back. It continues to deliver luxury and utility in a neat little package.

Step inside and the first thing you notice is the 32-inch display sitting to your right (okay, it isn't that big). That screen can provide you with whatever music you want to hear, weather radar, traffic reports, and much more. Want to see more than one off those apps at one time? No problem you can split the screen accordingly. The infotainment system even comes with a mouse to control it.

Once you've decided what you want on the screen in front of you, sit back and enjoy the comfortable seats. It really is a nice place to spend some time. Oh wait, did I have to drive somewhere?

It drives well. There's plenty of power, the ride is smooth and road noise is low.

Now for the exterior: I hate to be that guy, but but what's up with all the plastic exterior trim? It didn't compliment the lines of the car at all. I wouldn't buy this SUV on a beauty basis.
