What is the price on that rig?
You aren't seeing double, this review is for the Premium Luxury Trim of the Cadillac CT4, not the V-Series we reviewed not too long ago.
At any rate, the Cadillac CT4 can be had with two different flavors of turbocharged four-cylinder engines: either a 2.0-liter unit good for 237 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, or a 2.7-liter powerplant rated for 310 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque.
That 2.7-liter engine—which was what was under the hood of our tester—is actually shared with the V-Series, though makes 15 fewer horses and 30 less torque when placed in the Premium Luxury trim CT4.
Is that reduction in power noticeable behind the wheel? Keep reading to get our thoughts on it.

Not sure if it’s good or bad that Cadillac also offers the 2.7-liter engine in the standard CT4.
The good: Strong performance without the V-Series price premium.

How is strong performance without the price premium bad? Why give Cadillac the extra money for nearly the same performance?
The standard CT4 was surprising. While it gives up a few horsepower on paper, around town the deficit isn’t really noticed. The CT4 feels quick enough for a daily, and the 10-speed automatic delivers crisp shifts. Call it one of the best two-pedal setups out there.
The seats still deliver plenty of support, the steering wheel feels meaty and, really, this car didn’t feel like it was giving up much if anything to the V-Series. If anything, you’re saving a few bucks for a less impressive decklid. The CT4-V felt impressive. The standard car, at a few bucks less, might be even more so.
What is the price on that rig?
My dad owned a few Lincoln Town Cars and was Italian and smoked a lot of cigars way younger than the age I am now.
I feel like I should own a Cadillac some day but I'm busy looking at little Civics and Miatas.

I enjoyed this one way more than expected. It felt like a four-door Camaro, and I mean that in a good way.
