We think Dodge has also taken this saying to heart, except instead of a literal cat, it's a Hellcat engine. (See what we did there?)
The latest Stellantis product to get the Hellcat treatment is the full-sized Durango SUV, good for 710 horsepower and 645 lb.-ft. of torque–all in a 5710-pound package that gets fuel economy in the low teens. And did we mention it's all-wheel-drive?

Let’s all be honest. While this might be our dream truck–hey, y’all, let’s put our 710-horsepower supercharged V8 into an SUV–it’s kinda silly.
Are you going to race it?
Does it matter if it can reach 60 mph in 3.5 seconds or 3.6 seconds?
Are you really going to haul lumber in it?
No, it’s all about flex.
But, I totally realize, there’s a place for that in our world. That flex comes with a price as our tester stickered at $92,040. (That’s not a typo.)
But for something this extreme, it does ride nicely. Back in the day, we drove the V10-powered SRT-10 Dodge Ram–the Viper-powered pickup, basically. It, to be honest, rode like crap.
You thought you wanted a Viper-powered truck until you drove it. Then you realized that while it could pull a mean burnout, it felt like a penalty box. And then that wing kinda blocked the bed–you know, preventing a truck from being used like a truck.
This one, yeah, you can drive it all the time–like, no kidney belt required–assuming you can keep gas in it: 12 mpg city, 17 mpg highway.
But here’s the harsh reality of this one: Back on January 21, production for 2021 was already sold out.
So, a question for the masses: Coolest thing ever or just kinda silly? And is either answer actually wrong?
