2021 Infiniti QX80 Premium Select 4WD new car reviews

The total price of our QX80 tester is over $80,000—that's including options—and it's only the mid-range trim. (Top trim starts at only $83,000.) With that money, you could buy two brand-new Mazda MX-5s and still have money left over.

Then again, two Miatas don't have seating for eight, tri-zone climate control, a Bose 13-speaker sound system, adaptive cruise control, or the ability to tow up to 8500 pounds—two MX-5s, perhaps.

Sure, some of us would rather go for the Mazdas, but it's all about priorities when full-sized luxury SUVs are involved. Read our driving impressions below.

But why not the Nissan version? Easy: Because this one’s fancier. Yep, there are people happy and comfortable paying for that nameplate.

And for those who can/will, they’ll get a full-size Nissan SUV that’s just a bit more special. It’s still pretty big–honestly, too big for the daily grind. Because, at the end of the day, it’s still a full-size Nissan SUV.
