The felt that lines the center console’s storage box is just divine. You could pass the time at any red light by just running your fingers about it.
And, yeah, you’d expect those kinds of details in a premium SUV. The details–the switches, the knobs–all have that expected heft to them.
The mix of carbon and wood, while sounding a little unorthodox, blends together nicely. The little HVAC joystick works perfectly.
The little crystal-like “toggle” shifter, while a bit odd, does work. It’s easier to figure out than some other modern takes on the PRNDL.
Are the seats a bit too soft, though? Or is that just me?
Likewise, is the suspension also a bit soft? Perhaps that all goes with the luxury mission statement, but I wouldn’t mind a tick more firmness in both departments.
I do like the general feel of the vehicle, though. For a bigger, three-row SUV, it feels lighter and smaller than you’d think. Plenty of power, just a touch of wind noise.
And the rear seats? Perfect. So much room, such a great view. Really, this is who the review should be for: If you’re looking to be driven around in luxury, you want to do it in the back of one of these.
