Wow... Almost 20 years later and I'm still racing that beast!

At one time, it was a very common sight at autocrosses: a Neon on AR-24 wheels. Today, not so much, but we have the memories. In 2006, Bill Ehrman and company entered a 1997 model that they had purchased for a hundred bucks.
“We pulled off everything we didn’t need,” Bill told us, “sold what we could and then put MegaSquirt in charge of both fuel and timing.” The team had problems with the custom turbo setup, though, as the PVC piping couldn’t contain the boost.
Make your own low-buck memories at the Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge Presented by Tire Rack, held March 29-30, 2025.

It's a little more powerful since then. And you grew your own codriver!

It's crazy to me that I've been racing that car longer than my daughter has been alive...
It's more powerful for sure and it also leaks a lot fewer fluids.

Does this count as three wheeling?
This photo has me curious... it looks like Roos' but I thought the switch from M2 to MF/MR happened before we started running there.
