Here’s your chance to help make the low-buck magic happen: We're currently hiring autocross volunteers for our Grassroots Motorsports $2000 Challenge presented by Tire Rack.
Here’s how it works: As a volunteer, you’ll be standing near the autocross course in the parking lot of Gainesville Raceway. When cars hit cones, you’ll walk onto the course to reset the cones and use a radio to alert timing & scoring.
So, what’s in it for you? Each half-day shift will pay $50, and course workers will also receive a free T-shirt, free lunch, and free spectator access to the evening’s drag racing. They’ll also receive the limitless gratitude of our competitors and attendees, and they’ll see the autocross from the best viewing area possible–the middle of the course! Sign up for both shifts and you’ll get paid $100 for the day.
Please note: Workers must be 18 years of age or older, and must be able to move themselves around, pick up cones, and maintain awareness of their surroundings. Volunteers who choose to race in the autocross may only run for exhibition due to changing course conditions.

In reply to Tom Suddard :
It's that or sit at the hotel hoping someone buys a book. The way I see it is at least this way I will have sunburned calves.
