Johanna Foege of the St. Louis Region, Youmna Zalzal of the San Francisco Region, and Lexie Murray of the Central Carolina Region are the 2018 recipients of the SCCA’s Wendi Allen Scholarship Fund.
The Allen family established the Wendi Allen Scholarship Fund in 2014 after its namesake, a multi-time Solo national champion who loved the SCCA Solo community, died of cancer at age 46. Each year, the fund awards scholarships to two female Solo drivers who are not only outstanding autocrossers, but deeply engaged club members.
All three women will receive $1500 to support their travel to SCCA National Solo events and the Tire Rack Solo Nationals. Additionally, the SCCA will waive entry fees for the scholarship winners at all National Solo events this season.
