Grassroots Motorsports’s TireRack.com Ultimate Track Car Challenge returns to Virginia International Raceway on July 18, 2014. Fifty of the most raucous, flame-belching race cars in North America will be invited to take to the track to compete for the coveted TireRack.com Ultimate Track Car Challenge trophy.
Teams/drivers wishing to be considered for an invitation to the 2014 TireRack.com UTCC must contact Events Manager Rick Goolsby at rick@grassrootsmotorsports.com with photos and a detailed description of the vehicle to be campaigned, along with contact and biographical information of the driver, prior to Friday, July 4, 2014.
The rules of the TireRack.com UTCC are simple. Each car must pass the NASA (National Auto Sport Association) safety inspection. Teams/drivers may utilize any modifications and tire and suspension setup on the competing vehicle, as long as it passes the inspection. Want to add seven turbos, two superchargers, mondo-displacement, use a carbon-fiber tube frame or chromoly chassis? Then do it. Build the machine your wrenching heart desires, and enter to be invited. The entrance fee for the 2014 TireRack.com UTCC is $215.
There can be only one ultimate track car and one ultimate track car driver. It could be you. Spectators are welcome to the event for a nominal $10 fee, and camping is available for $35 per tent space and $50 per camper space.
The 2014 Grassroots Motorsports TireRack.com Ultimate Track Car Challenge is sponsored by StopTech, TMI Racing Products, Continental Tire North America, Ford Motor Company and the National Auto Sport Association.
