This year’s Rolex 24 at Daytona was exceedingly cold and excessively wet, bringing nearly 2 inches of rain to the January 27th-28th race. Thankfully, the Grassroots Motorsports Experience was a haven from the weather for attendees, where they could enjoy the race with like-minded individuals.

The 2019 Grassroots Motorsports Experience, presented by KONI and Hagerty, gave our readers unprecedented access and warm hospitality over the whole event weekend—namely the exclusive GRM car corral at the heart of the Daytona infield and a hot dinner under our massive white tent Saturday night.

The GRM Experience isn’t limited to one tent. A few lucky people were spotted touring the hot pits, riding in blistering hot laps, and even visiting the starter stand thanks to our Golden Tickets, which were awarded randomly to ticket holders sporting GRM gear.

The GRM Experience is one of the hottest tickets at the Rolex 24, selling out in minutes when they go on sale each year. Even race fans who didn’t score one of our coveted tickets were welcome to escape the elements under our white tent and mingle while watching the race livestream on our flat screen TVs. Also open to spectators was our exclusive car corral full of enthusiast cars.

Our popular open-to-all paddock tours, where fans got to see frantic teams claw their way back on track, were packed to record numbers on Friday morning and midnight Saturday.

Even before the big race started, we held a party at Ormond Brewing Company Friday evening, where our guests could mingle while enjoying a free beer and tasty fare from food trucks.

The Grassroots Motorsports Frontstretch Seating Package, which grants access to both the new $400 million state-of-the-art frontstretch facility and the infield on Saturday and Sunday, was a fantastic alternative to the sold-out infield GRM Experience. One perk of this package was a hot breakfast served Sunday morning in the Midway Suite, well out of the cold and rain.

The white tent serves as a shining beacon of comfort and hospitality in the midst of the controlled chaos that is the Rolex 24—a place where anyone can escape the elements, relax, and mingle with like-minded enthusiasts.

The GRM Experience wouldn’t be possible without the support of Covercraft, BBS, White Pony, Z Max, Autolift Production, Intercomp, Nord-Lock, Spec Clutch, Krispy Kreme, and Apex Pro.

Held every year at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida during the Rolex 24, The Grassroots Motorsports Experience is one of our most popular events and sells out very quickly. I need to thank everyone who joined us at Daytona. Wow, that was a full weekend. The cars are cool, but it's really great to see everyone--old friends and new ones alike.
