The Sports Car Club of America has just announced that Global Time Attack and Super Lap Battle USA will be officially sponsored by Yokohama Tire. These events fall under the umbrella of the North American Time Attack Council, of which SCCA is a founding member.
GTA and SLB add to an already bustling calendar of motorsport events in North America for 2019: Super Lap Battle USA Circuit of the Americas, February 16-17; GTA Road Atlanta, May 10-11; GTA New Jersey Motorsports Park, August 9-10; and GTA Finals Buttonwillow Raceway, November 16-17.
As well, there is a special championship for competing drivers who race on Yokohama Tires at the GTA events, fittingly called the “Yokohama Challenge.”
